On Practice

Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.

~ 1 Timothy 4:15

I was inspired to explore practice recently when I read that Vice President Kamala Harris’ staff once created a mock dinner engagement for her to simulate an important meeting with a high level media mogul to give her confidence and improve her opportunity for success.  Regardless of what you believe politically, this is a very viable and necessary thing; practice.  I encourage all of us to practice, to role-play anything important to you and your family. Make it very intentional. Meetings with your spouse, children, boss, client, colleague, all deserve your immersion.  It’s what will make you great.  And…you will be surprised how many times it goes just how you planned!  Take the anxiety and stress out of predicting the future, just practice it first!
